Inspiration

While staying in some cabins just outside of Weaverville, CA, this story came to me. It incorporates lore from ancient Europe, fairytale elements, a blend of spirituality, dreams I've had, concepts I've learned in women circles, and a region of land I love in Northern California. The photo above was taken at the inspirational cabins. It was almost the book's cover!

About Me

Hi, I'm Virginia! I was raised in McKinleyville, California, which is a small town in the coastal redwoods of Northern California. I went to Humboldt State University, initially as an English major, for two years. William, the boy I have known since I was five, who later became my high school sweetheart, decided to join the navy. We got married and I went with him. From there I switched to Penn State World Campus for another two and a half years until I graduated with a B.S. in psychology. In four years I moved to Charleston, South Carolina, Saratoga Springs, New York, and Virginia Beach, Virginia. I've traveled across the country a few times and couldn't be more in love with rural America. The coastal redwoods called me back though. I lived there another four years where my husband and I had our first son. We have now moved to the Mat-Su Valley in Alaska and are expecting our first daughter. I love European legends, American lore, the outdoors, writing, exploring, and taking pictures of where I go. I have a beautiful family that I'm eternally thankful for.If you'd like to keep up with my life or future works, please feel free to follow me on Instagram or Facebook (linked below).
